GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 Wake on Lan function: is it possible?

Hi guys, I have this mobo and I'm wondering if I can wake/power up my pc from remote with wake on lan function, but I cannot see it in the BIOS page. I have only Power on  by ring, and PME event wake up. Can I use one of these features for reaching my scopes?

Any hint or suggestion? If I buy a lan card PCI supporting the Wake On Lan feature, can I use the PME to wake up the pc?

Nope, you can wake from the onboard Realtek LAN.

Great to hear you got it working!    Keep in mind some software might have compatibility issues with this, so some programs might work and some might not, just keep that in mind when / if you try other various methods of waking the system.

Another curiosity:
My pc is usually disconnected from the power lane. When I plug in the plug in the socket, should the pc be able to wake up from lan, or this function works only when coming from standby command or shutdown command invoked by the os?

I would think so, as long as your battery isn't dying while it's unplugged, which it shouldn't.   But you'll have to test that yourself to confirm if it will work or not, I don't see any reason why it wouldn't.

Solved also this one, there's an apposite option to set in the bios do determine the mobo behaviour after a AC power loss

Yes, but does that matter about waking though?

Yes, it does matter, because the wake on lan works only when the mobo is in certain power states (coming from standby or shutdown via os). In BIOS @ AC Back Function voice if you don't set "Memory" the system, after a power loss, doesn't remember/restore those power states, so WOL won't work.

So you have to set Memory on the AC back function, then it works no matter what right?

Yes right, setting it to "Memory" makes the system restore the last state before the power loss.

Hi. First time I'm trying out this feature.
I'm running Win 7 Ultimate.
Is there anything else needed to be enabled?
My PME was enabled from factory. Do i need to make any configurations in windows or any other in BIOS?
It's not working for me.

I'm looking for a way to be able to start my computer through an android cellphone.
Any suggestions for a stable program?

(I have done the port forward from the router settings)
