z68ma-d2h-b3 computer or digital like sounds heard from speakers

I just built a new pc with z68ma-d2h-b3 and im hearing a digital or computer like distortion coming from the speakers, when i unplug the usb connected to my soundcard, the noise stops, i installed another sb soundcard and heard same sound, any1 know of a fix for this.

Hi

Often with soundcard related problems it can be cause by the wiring lying close to something else and you get what is termed "crossover". Try replacing the wiring involved to a different route. If that doesn't work try moving the soundcard toi a different slot.

YOu can also try enabling or disabling Spread Spectrum.  This is often a hidden BIOS setting, to enable hidden BIOS settings on the MAIN page of the BIOS press control + F1 and the screen will flash.  Then any hidden settings or sections will be shown, look around for spread spectrum settings, there may be a few types!

Also, be sure you are using the latest BIOS, and that you are also using the latest drivers for your sound card.

ya im gonna look around again, i think this is the last pc i build, either gonna get a mac, or just buy a dell or something, this is just a headache lol

after turning off the "spread spectrum" setting in the bios "cntrl+f1" i still hear this digital distortion sound coming from speakers, really faint, i unplug the soundcard and it goes away,

Is this "digital distortion sound" depending on the volume control ? In other words does it change in volume if you increase or decrease the control ?

No the volume does not change how the sound is heard, as in it doesn't get louder or quieter by changing the master control volume.

So it's not being amplified by the sound cards circuits then as in it isn't an audio signal. I think it is probably a fault with the actual sound card itself that is causing some sort of feedback.

its not, i also have a native instruments one right here,  and get the same digital like distortion very faint coming through the speakers when i start an app or something in the cumputer that looks for a soundcard, when i close the internet or a digtal audio workstation program like reaper or cubase 6 the sound stops...only happens when i open apps, have tried two soundcards not

so it was the cables causing the problem

some monster cables i spent like 80 bucks for, going from my soundcard to a sub then back into my monitors.....lol never would have guessed
