Thank you for answeringI have already contacted them. They answered me in a 30 minutes. They wrote me that they are working on new BIOS and my suggest will be passed to BIOS team, or something like this.Regards.
I have bought a Gigabyte 7870 with Windforce 3x. The problem is that 40% fanspeed is too much for this card and its too loud. 25C in idle now. I do not want to use a third part applications to lower the fan speed. Is there a possibility to modify the BIOS of this card?
Hi again,I am not making excuses for them as you say it is a long time now and should have been sorted ages ago. However have you contacted them again to see what they have to say about it ? These things do get forgotten sometimes.
Sent : 9/29/2012 07:10Question : Hi, I am very happy with your product, but a small defect in the bios configuration ruin much the quality of the product, because the fans set to 40% in idle are unnecessarily excessive noise that goes with it is boring, to overcome this problem I used msi afterburner and i setting the fan manually to achieve lower noise without impacting too much on the temperature, it would be preferable that you updated the bios to fix this quirk, as a suggestion based on my experience I can give you the following parameters:idle = 25% fan40 ° c 35% fan50 ° c 40% fan60 ° c 45% fan65 ° c 60% fan-------------------------------------------------------------------------------Model Name : GV-R787WF3-2GD--------------------------PCB ver :Driver Ver : 12.9Serial No. :Purchase Dealer :-------------------------------------------------------------------------------Motherboard Brand : AsusModel : p76 sabertoothOperation System : Win 7 64-bit SP : 1

10/10/2012 07:04Question : I'll try to be more comprehensive..I have a shop:http://www.*XXX*computer.com/my dealers are BREVI and MIND (distributors of gigabyte in Italy), I do this job since 15 years, I have repaired and installed countless computers, mainly sell your products, I'm the coach who evaluates a defect, it should not be a seller.the fan has no defect, is the noise it makes a fan to 40% (3 fans)This noise is not annoying while you play, but you feel too when the card is idle, lowering the fan to 25% becomes silent and temperatures remain low.If you do not want this change, give me a editor compatible with your bios and I take responsibility for my actions.I can tell you that I use a sofware of competition (MSI Afterburner) to solve your problem, and I would not have to use it.I can tell you that a year ago I bought an Asus 560TI, had a similar problem, the fan became too fast to no avail, but Asus has understood and correctly.is here in front of your eyes, the competition does:http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/NVIDIA_Series/ENGTX560_Ti_DCII2DI1GD5/ # downloadVGA BIOS windows update application for ENGTX560 TI Series cards.1. New VBIOS for Reducing the FAN noisy.Only for PN below:70-C1CQ90-A06;70-A06-C1CQA0Notice:Double click. Exe and the BIOS will be auto updated. So, Listen to a professional like me, you can only improve the product.I still expect your response like photocopy for how to lose a month with useless RMA to have a video card back with the same problem, there's a help but only a mistake and apologies are useless.
