6970 oc Dual screen crash (with pics)

I will keep this short and sweet just because I really have no idea what to say other than my problem.
I went out and bought 2 new monitors ran them fine for a while with my HD 6970 OC and then started getting a blue/black or green screen on my left monitor and blue/black screen with bars running down it on the other. I posted around on the whirlpool and didnt get a whole lot of help so i thought id come here.
This problem happens in games and even on desktop just doing nothing, the pics happened just after I dragged one google chrome tab across one screen to the other.(Never happened before while running one screen)

System specs are
Mobo: Asrock Gen3 Extreme7
Cpu: i5 2500k
Vid Card: Gigabyte Radeon 6970 2gb OC
Ram: Corsair Vengeance 8gb
PSU:amacrox free style 750w

Hi and welcome.

Off hand I don't really know what is causing the problem but an educated guess would be the drivers. I would make saure all the old drivers are removed and then the latest drivers are installed in their place. Also make sure that the GPU has the latest firmware installed.

After that if there was still an issue it would be a case of going through all the graphics settings and making sure that the resolution and refresh rates are all correct for your steup.

I had already done complete wipes of old drivers and installed the latest ones after having that suggested. Ill have a look for the firmware and refresh rates and get back to you.

I am now having fabulous amounts of fun raging because the drivers wont install correctly, CCC wont boot and everything is apparently broken. I do believe my next card will not be a radeon >:/

Sounds bad but let's not get carried away here. Can you be as specific as possible on what is happening and we will see about fixing it.

Haha well I have been avoiding getting carried away with this card for a little bit to long now.
But on topic, went through and attempted to re wipe and install the latest drivers, however that failed for a good hour but i think its good now as it actually made it through the installation without spamming message at me. Now when i boot i get the "cantremember".implementaion can load message. Still cant open CCC even if i start a new process for it. Haven't hooked my other screen back up because of the little luck i've had with something as simple as drivers.
Its rather hard to explain these problems >_<

Bamp + some info.
Have had it running reasonably well after swapping both dvi cables around on the output on the graph card, and setting the screens left is main right is secondary in windows. Buuuut it still does the pretty colour screens when watching almost any form of video (from youtube or windows media player. Itunes doesnt crash dunno why) and when i play any game other than bf3.
Everything still runs fine with only one screen.

Make sure that you check all your resolution and refresh rate settings as it sounds like it might be having a problem with that.

Screen res is correct and refresh rates as far as i know are correct? Any specific way to check what the refresh rate should be and then how to set it if it needs to be changed?
