Keeping a log of my internet connection
« on: April 24, 2012, 11:20:35 am »
I would like to know if there is any facility in my motherboard that would enable me to run a log of when my internet connection is broken. To be brief, my ADSL connection drops intermittently, and I would like to keep a record of when this happens, as I suspect a problem has developed at my local telephone exchange. I have a very simple router that is incapable of running a log, so I am hoping there is a utility in my motherboard that might be able to this instead. Any ideas?

A router able to log your internet connection is what you need ,the motherboard itself can t do what you want at hardware level.
As the router is the first device that "talks" with the internet provider equipment.
