Hi there new to forum so hi, and im having a bit of a problem with my new mobo, im trying to intall windows 7 but for some reason hangs at the windows 7 boot screen

my spec is
athlon x2 250
gtx 550 ti but tryed older card x1950 same problem
thermoltake 750 toughpower
4 gig 1333 (one stick)
160 gig sata hdd

then i tryed installing xp, and happend again when installing devices.

Please help!!!

The suspect in your case might be the hard drive.

I recommend you to run the HDD manufacturer utility and low level format it.

Had similar reinstalling issues with W7 on a "strange"  refurbished Seagate HDD on my 970-UD3 ,after testing the useless W8 :).
Same thing was happening ,the install would hang at some point.
After formating it several times at low level and after it forgot it had 640 Gb (it kept showing 32 Gigs for some time :)  ) , it recovered and finally allowed me to install W7.

Try AHCI with ESP on or off and the plain simple IDE Mode.

Try with some other HDD as well. 

Keep in mind that low level format will destroy all data and/or deleting track 0 will destroy all partitions on the HDD.

amd phenom II x4 965 cpu and 4 gb kingston memory 1 tb western digital green windows 7 64 bit os installed on GA-970A-DS3 mainboard. all drivers downloaded and installed from gigabyte official site. all functions stable and working.
 but I have 2 hdd external usb 3.0 an seagate goflex 1 tb other toshiba external usb 3.0 I plug 2 hdd on usb 2.0 all working, I plug usb 3.0 all of them "unknown device" and hdd has no spin

Make sure you install the USB 3 controller driver.Your USB 3 devices will work only under Windows with installed drivers.It s  a limitation compared to USB 2.0 controller.

Also it s nice to not hijack other threads and make a new one for your issue so you are properly helped..

8GB Kingston HyperX Special Edition 1600 CL9  KHX16C9X3/4
ThermalTake LT-500 500w ,480 max output.
Latest Bios:FD Flashed via GB Software from windows,i had FC before and there was same problem.
