Hi
I currently have a Intel Core i7-3930K, 3500 MHz (35 x 100) on a MSI X79A-GD45 (MS-7735) (4 PCI-E x1, 3 PCI-E x16, 4 DDR3 DIMM, Audio, Gigabit LAN, IEEE-1394), This combination give me some trouble which I need to check that I don't get if I get a gigabyte board instead. My issue is that if I enable intel c-state in bios and the CPU is at idle I can hear a high pitch noise from the CPU. As soon as I disable intel c- state the sound disappears. This is very annoying and by disable this setting the CPU core also rise 5-10 C.
So my question is, do you guys that have this kind of CPU have simular issues or can you recommend a gigabyte board to me that doesn't produce this noise when intel-c-state is enabled?
