Tough time cold booting GA-P43-ES3G
« on: July 07, 2012, 01:31:47 am »
My GA-P43-ES3G can run for months without any issue whatsoever. Reboots are not a problem. Issue is cold booting...machine starts to boot (cpu fan kicks in, HD's start to spin, case lights are on) but it shuts down again after approx. 5 secs. Then it does the same thing again, over and over until it finally "catches". This can sometimes take as long as 1/2 hr. During this time there is no signal sent to the monitor (monitor power light remains amber). I have swapped out the ps from a 500w to a 650w, this made no difference. I have even unplugged all hd's and fans, made no difference. Anyone have any suggestions as to what could be causing this?
