Memory list
« on: July 05, 2012, 09:50:36 pm »
Does anyone know where a list or thread is about memory that has been tried and/or tested on a GA-P55A-UD3. I've searched till I'm blue in the face. I'm looking at buying G.SKILL Ripjaws Z Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL10Q-32GBZL. It is not on the memory list from Gigabyte.us http://download.gigabyte.us/FileList/Memory/mb_memory_ga-p55a-ud3.pdf In fact the mobo is supposed to run 32GB but there is no 8GB chips listed at all.

I have:
GV-R467ZL-1GI video card
Corsair SSD drive
i7 2.93 GHz CPU
Corsair 750watt PS
Windows 7/64bit
There has been too much violence. Too much pain. But I have an honorable compromise. Just walk away. Give me your pump, the oil, the gasoline, and the whole compound, and I'll spare your lives.

Hi and welcome.

Normally the best place to look for a QVL (Qualified Vendors List) is on the manufacturer's website. Most makes have one and if you input your motherboard it will give you a list of compatible memory modules.

I did that but there seams to be little support for this mobo.

I believe Dark Mantis meant to check the memory manufacturer's list.
