Phenom II X3 720 reached 6 GHz ! - now 7 GHz

The High Score for AMD overclocking of the Phenom II X3 has been broken again. A Phenom II X3 720 with all four cores enabled was able to reach 6006.62MHz on GA-MA790FX-UD5P.

Hmm interesting point. Though I have my doubts it will ever happen. Just more cores and more efficient cores. It’s not all about core cycles, it’s about what it can do in those cycles. Like back in the day when a 2ghz athlon would beat a 3.2ghz Pentium4 in the majority of apps!
