Hello, i have this mb
http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=2755#ov
and i need Easy Tune 6 for slowing down the fan speed a little cuz' it's very noisy (stock cooler).
Now, when i try to install easy tunes 6, i get this:" Error 1904. Module C:\Program Files (x86)\ET6\Flash11e.ocx failed to register. HRESULT -2147220473. Contact your support personnel"
I have AM2 socket, running windows 7. Somebody can help me, please ?

Hi there,
I'm not sure if I am correct but I think you need to use EasyTune5 with your motherboard not EasyTune6.
You can download EasyTune5 from here:
http://www.gigabyte.com/MicroSite/121/tech_20041125_px_et5.htm
but before you install it, make sure you delete EasyTune6 from your system.

You can always use SpeedFan - much better than ET6. I found ET6 very resource intensive (Latency Monitor hated it).
Just Google SpeedFan.
Note that it is fairly easy to use in its simplest sense. I found that I had to do some tuning of my I/O chip to actually get it to work for my MB (your link seems to go nowhere right now so I have no idea of what MB you have).
Even better - if you have a Phenom CPU is a program called "PhenomMSRTweaker" (again Google it). For the AMD K10 CPUs I was able to set up a profile that allowed me complete Cool&Quite control. I now run my 1090T at a low power level (X4 - 800 MHz) and turn OFF my CPU cooler altogether. Using PhenomMsrTweaker and SpeedFan - most of the time I run at X4 with the fans OFF. As the load increases it ramps up to overclock range (20X - 4 GHz) and turns on the fans appropriately. (A bit of work to get there - but well worth it in my case).

Looking at the images you have not selected the check box "Automatic fan speed". Without that checked - nothing will happen except monitoring.
Even when you do select it - things might still not happen. On my mother board I had to change a I/O chip setting to "Software Controlled".
Setting to "Software Controlled" involves knowing what I/O chip controls your fans. First you select "Configure" from the main screen. Then the "Advanced" tab. Then select the I/O chip (in my case "IT8720F at $228 on ISA". Then select each of the PWM n modes and change them to "Softwaare Controlled". Your board might be way different than mine.
Alternatively - you could look at the mother boards already working on the SpeedFan web site. He has a couple of Gigabyte boards (and I tried to add mine but do not know how successful that was).
Note that all of this fiddling is a bit intimidating.
