GA-990FXA-UD7 Hanging During BIOS Changes

Having a problem making changes to my RAM timings in BIOS.  The PC keeps freezing.  Is anyone else experiencing this?  This has happened before with other BIOS revisions.

GA-990FXA-UD7 with FX-8150, 2x8 GB GSkill Ripjaws 14900CL9, XFX HD6950, BIOS rev 10b.

CPU IMC instability ,maybe defective RAM or overrated memory.Drop the memory speed one notch.
Swap the memory for something known to work at rated specs.

My apologies for not stating my problem more clearly.  My PC is freezing while still in the BIOS screens.  None of the changes have had a chance to be implemented.  This leads me to use the Touch BIOS program which does not have as many options.

Any thoughts on why the BIOS screen keeps crashing the PC?

Ive seen BIOS crashing either due to the BIOS itself either due to some malfunctioning component.

I would swap the CPU ,memory and video card for something known to work before considering a mobo RMA.

I've already experienced this under other CPUs, memory and video cards.  My MOBO works fine otherwise so I'm not looking for an RMA just to see how common this is and if there is an explanation/solution for it.
