What do you think about Ghost Recon Online (free) ?

Installed it 2 days ago and somehow it surprised me.
It s to good for a free game , it s simply fun.

Hi I know about the game and it looked good in the adverts etc but I hadn't heard that it was available online free!

Ubisoft released this as free and they will also release Ghost Recon Future Soldier single player.

I was surprised as well about the availability.Discovered it while starting Assassins Creed and the UPlay stuff updated itself to what it seems to be some kind of Steam .There they show-off more free games.

In spite of the huge amount of unlock/reward stuff it s fun.
Maybe it has in mind some microtransaction stuff like BF free series ,but it s enjoyable.
It features PB protection ,but it doesn t feature dedicated servers .
On the other hand the match making seems to work compared to some COD releases and you don t have to wait century-es in lobby-es like you could in Far Cry 2 multi player .

Is it the full version they are allowing you to play or just a Beta ?

Ghost Recon Online doest seem to be some beta.Some guy from Ubi said few months ago that the multiplayer of Ghost Recon will be free on PC as the game is pirated to much or something like that.This is what i know.
I just installed it and played it.It s multiplayer.

I hope you will find it enjoyable as i did and that other members will increase a little the player count ,at least now when it s new .

Dark Mantis you were right , the game is indeed in the open beta stage now ,but it will  continue to have the "free to play" status when fully launched as well 
So the actual experience may not be the final one.
