Hi all,

Really looking for some help I have just got the MA-78GPM-DS2H ad I have a AMD9850 X4 2.5ghz. Computer set up is:

Windows Vista Ulimate 64bit
AMD Phenom 9850 X4
Kingston 2GB Sticks X2
2 X Maxtor 500GB HDD
MA-78GPM-DS2H Motherboard

I have reinstalled windows and so on so that it from scrach but still get the same problems that the computer crashes it can be any time when I'm not use it or when I'm using it and I have changed every thing that I can sent board back and got a new one sent Processor back and got a new one low level format to the HDD so there was no tracy of anything on it but it still does it I have made sure that all updates for the chipset motherboard and everything else is up to date but this doesnt appeared to help me and it's still doing the same Can any one help me out please with any ideas that they have or even if they had this and found the cure

such crashes can be caused also by power supply or by memory. Please try to change.

Have changed the PSU to a 550 to ensure that it can take the load have also added in 3 120mm fans to move the air follow around the case as well. I will need to look in and see about the memory as per the retailer I purchard this from only allow RMA for products that are faultly and there is no way I can prove that it is the memory is at fault. damma it. The Microsoft memory checker and the build in one to vista reports no errors with regards to the memory so I'm a bit stuck on this matter and do not know what to do for the best as I'm reluctant to buy the same memory again incase the problem still hapens.

I am having the same issues as well. Memoey is fine. I did a burn test for just over 24 hours.

I have tried underclocking too.

Any help would be good.

Yes I do. That has the same problem. Random reboots too.

I build the machine and looks OK. Then after a few hours reboots. I get data loss.

I'm not getting data lose just have to re-boot the whole bloody thing and it now doing my head in

try to use newest chipset & vga driver ver 8.522 from this link:

does the same happen if you use only one stick of memory? try it.

maybe it's memory incompability problem, try to change the memory into other vendor. if all above doesn't help then rma the mb.

Have download that drive and still the same. I'm thinking it could be the AMD9850 as everything has been changed apart from this. So doing some testing the now with it I have my mates 9850 and he has mine to see what happens. Cant be the board as it has done this on both board that I have tried and there both brand new.

Have also changed the memory from Kingston to OCZ to see if that helps as well. In fact I did that before swaping over the Processor and still the same hence the reason that I think it is the processor related

hi how are your temps these quad cores do run warm on standard cooling,check your bios to see if cpu temp cutt off is to low

Temp are more than fine cant get the CPU to go over 46c and thats showing in the BIOS temps as well as speedfan doesnt go over 46. Cooling inside case is good 4 120mm fans 2000rpm max plus Arctic Cooling Freezer Extreme for CPU

I have fixed my issue and running perfect now. The problen was my Power suppy. The 450w was not up to the job. I put a 650w in and no problems. Been stable for over a month now.
