GIGABYTE GA-Z68AP-D3 v2.0 can't access bios with delete key
« on: September 15, 2012, 10:41:34 pm »
Hi,

I'm trying to access the BIOS on this motherboard, but I don't seem to be getting it.
When I press the delete key repeatedly before and after the post beep, I still boot to windows 7.

Other keys like tab/f9/etc don't seem to be responding either.

I've tried with two different USB keyboards but neither one works. Maybe there is a specific USB slot I need to use?

I have the same issue. I bought a cheap ps2 keyboard and that works.
Give it a try.

Sometimes the usb board will work. Sometimes,,

TFisher is correct:-) Use a PS2 keyboard to access your bios if the USB one don't wok!

Hi

This is a common problem and as you have already been advised the best option to help is using a PS2 keyboard as they are much better for BIOS settings. Often repeatedly tapping the DEL key will help too.
