Hey everyone, I've got a problem. I bought my PC back in november last year which was put together by the guys at novatech and has been fine ever since until today. My mb and processor specs are:
AMD FX-6 bulldozer
Gigabyte GA-990XA-UD3
Here's the problem: Today I decided to buy the game CounterStrike: GO which I soon found out has a problem with working with certain AMD FX processors and motherboards, and the way to get around this is to update your BIOS. I did everything instructed by downloading Gigabytes Touch BIOS and the most recent BIOS for my motherboard using @BIOS (yes I now know..
). It seemed to install fine and then restarted for the changes to take place...
when my PC first booted, it got the the windows logo, then a brief blue screen comes up for a split second and then it rebooted again. This time I got to the selection of either
'Launch startup repair'
'Start windows normally'
But when I go onto the repair option, windows can't find a solution and asks me to get in touch with the manufacture, which I'm doing now.
Is there anything I can do now myself? My motherboard is supposed to have dualbios for these situations but I know I didn't back my BIOS up, and I'm not sure if they're backed up auto or if novatech would have done that when building the pc. I can get into the BIOS set-up which I've done so to look for the dualbios launcher.. it just won't get past the windows logo.
I can try and get a photo of the blue screen if necessary.
If you need any more info just ask.. Thanks.
