Hi there,

To answer your question yes, you can go back to BIOS F1 if you want to. A couple of questions though.....
Did you use QFlash to update BIOS or @BIOS?
Did you jump from F1 straight to F9 or did you do it in a couple of jumps?
What motherboard are you using?

It is always best to update the BIOS in stages if it is a big difference. Just safer that way. It will probably be beneficial to go back and then when you are sure it is stable and running properly reinstall the later BIOS in stages.

What can be causing this?
To be honest it could be a number of things.

Before re-flashing BIOS I would suggest clearing CMOS just to see if that clears the problem.

When you flashed BIOS did you Disable the "Keep DMI Data" option in QFlash before you updated?

sorry when I asked about your Mobo I actually meant to ask for Revision No.

A little more involved than that. Check out the FAQ here: http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php/topic,2286.0.html which tells you what to do.
