Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.
There are a couple of different reasons that this could be happening. One is bent pins in the CPU socket the other is outdated BIOS  version. Also it may be that the PSU is a bit low powered. The manual recommends 550W min.

Well the other thing to check is the CPU socket. You will need to remove (very carefully) the CPU and heatsink/fan assembly first. Then look closely at the pins in the socket and see if any are out of alignment even a little. If you are unsure take a couple of Macro(close up) photos and post them on here and we can check them for you. They must be clear though.

The thing is you won't get anywhere by guessing! It is not enough to say it may not be something without even testing it.

I have not heard of that but you would need to take it up with your local Gigabyte service centre.

Right, slowly, slowly, catchee monkee...and then a quick machette blow and.. ;D

Have you cleared the CMOS properly?
If not do it now and remove the battery for ten minutes after unplugging from the mains and pressing the power button to clear any residual power.
Load BIOS optimised settings and save and exit.

Post back when you have done that.

yeah when i directly turn off in middle of giga byte screen again and again the after sometime it shows that error and a window opens and load last known good configuration
Title: Re: ga-x58a-ud3r not POST

Well from what you describe this would be normal in so much as you are turning the system off without shutting it down properly and this corrupts the data. I know you don't have a choice  but that is what is happening.
Please just make a detailed list of all your hardware that you have in your case including your PSU.

Title: Re: ga-x58a-ud3r not POST
Post by: Dark Mantis on October 20, 2010, 04:43:01 pm
QVL is a list made by manufacturers so you can see what memory is compatible with what board. They dont all work together! It stands for Qualified Vendors List. You need to have a look on Gigabyte's QVL for your motherboard and see if it list's the memory you have got. You can also check on Kingston's website for the memory and see if the motherboatrd is listed against it.

Memory does mean RAM, yes.

Mamory is something totally different by the way :D
Title: Re: ga-x58a-ud3r not POST
Post by: Dark Mantis on October 20, 2010, 04:53:51 pm
I have just checked your memory and although it is compatible with your motherboard you bought it as two seperate modules not a matching trio which they should have been. You should be running 3 modules on this board at one time. It is a triple channel board although it will physicall accept dual channel you will need two matching sticks and you will lose a lot of perfomance by doing so.

Are you using 32 bit or 64 bit Windows?
Title: Re: ga-x58a-ud3r not POST
Post by: mspunk166 on October 20, 2010, 05:08:49 pm
i m using 64 bit windows 7 :-\
Title: Re: ga-x58a-ud3r not POST
Post by: Dark Mantis on October 20, 2010, 05:14:35 pm
In that case I would advise you to get 3x2GB modules as a matching kit. Trying to use what you have there is not working at all as they aren't even matched. You could buy a matched poair but that wouldn't be doing justice to your hardware or the Windows 64 bit OS. Make sure that you get modules that are compatible with your motherboard and a matched kit or you will just be wasting more money.

I am still not sure that your PSU is big enough either but one problem at a time.

Post by: mspunk166 on October 20, 2010, 05:18:31 pm
ok but what should i do?
buy 2 GB same memory module (same model )    and these stiks are also compatible or u r saying to buy new 3*2GB memory stiks
then i have 3 memory modules......you meant this? :-\
Title: Re: ga-x58a-ud3r not POST
Post by: Dark Mantis on October 20, 2010, 05:25:35 pm
Yes you need to purchase three new sticks together in one package as a matching kit. Three sticks if the same type won't do. They have to be a matching kit. ;)

Title: Re: ga-x58a-ud3r not POST
Post by: Dark Mantis on October 20, 2010, 05:33:03 pm
No they won't. The electrical characteristics or the memory chips have to be matched not just the same type. Hence matched set or kit.

these 3 sticks are of same type?so why they don't work?

The thing is I can understand your situation but I can only give you advice and the truth is that if you buy another stick of that memory to go with the original two you would just be wasting even more money. This is what comes of not doing enough research before building the system. Sorry but that's the way it is. :-\

YES! Look I understand that you may not be able to afford new RAM but that doesn't in any way alter the facts that if you buy another single module there is not much chance of them all working together in your system.
Title: Re: ga-x58a-ud3r not POST
Post by: mspunk166 on October 21, 2010, 02:35:18 pm
why they can't work together sir?
Title: Re: ga-x58a-ud3r not POST
Post by: Dark Mantis on October 21, 2010, 02:53:25 pm
Because when they are made they are sorted out and the electrical characteristics of the memory chips have to be matched together sot that they are exactly the same not just the same type. I suggest if you want to understand better and in more detail that you google the process of making matched memory kits.

Title: Re: ga-x58a-ud3r not POST
Post by: Dark Mantis on October 21, 2010, 03:02:41 pm
I understand that and that is where you are going wrong! You must buy a KIT all in one box. Usually it will even come with a different part number as a matching kit. Try looking on a memory manufacturer's website  and look for matching memory kits.

Yes certain Corsair Dominator memory kits are supported on this board but you will need to go to the Corsair website and see which ones.
I have provided you with a link so you don't get lost. Any of these kits will work with your board.:

Title: Re: ga-x58a-ud3r not POST
Post by: Dark Mantis on October 21, 2010, 03:40:09 pm
All I can say is that the RAM you have is not right for your computer. As myself and Absic said before your PSU is also an unknown factor in so much as it is underpowered.

As for the memory if money is a problem then I would p[robably go for this:

CMX6GX3M3A1333C9 DDR3-1333 (XMS3-10600C9*3CH) 6GB Kit (3 x 2GB)

If you can afford more then go for the Dominators

TR3X6G1600C8D DDR3-1600 (Dominator-12800C8*XMP*3CH) 6GB Kit (3 x 2GB)

In the end it has to be your choice. It would be very easy for me to sit here and spend your money. Of course it all depends on what is available in your region too. ;)

Title: Re: ga-x58a-ud3r not POST
Post by: Dark Mantis on October 21, 2010, 04:57:11 pm
Yes it is possible to use a master and slave approach with the master actually running the motherboard, CPU etc and the slave supplying the drives, fans etc but it is more complex to set up and with your knowledge level I wouldn't advise it.

Just to clarify things, you now have three modules of Corsair Dominator 1600Mhz RAM in the white slots. What model number?

What BIOS are you using now?

Have you got the power leads all connected to the motherboard, the 24 pin, and the 8 pin near the CPU ?

Have you got the power connectors attached to the garphics card?

What cooler are you using on the CPU?

yeah the display on the screen is gigabyte logo and after that pc goes of........

the cooler with intell I7 processor

You neglected to say what BIOS version you are using?

On the CPU cooler make sure that all four legs are firmly fixed to the motherboard as this is a common problem with this cooler.

Ok try downloading and using this BIOS version FC3.  Make sure that you get the right one for your motherboard.

http://forums.tweaktown.com/gigabyte/28441-gigabyte-latest-bios.html

Update it using the QFlash utility and when you get to the QFlash homepage disable the Keep DMI Data option before running the update. Afterwards load optimised setup defaults.

OK try clearing the CMOS first by removing the battery once you have unplugged the machine and then pressed the power button. Leave the battery out for at least ten minutes. Then replace and try booting into the BIOS again.
