Personally I like the Corsair models. Seasonic also make some nice ones. Just don't buy a cheap one and expect it to perform well.

I have deleted my above post because its not the right one its the CORSAIR CX400 sorry about that.

Corsair have made an absolute mess of the CX430 when compared to CX400 I really can't believe they did that.

The CX400 is a better PSU then the CX430.  >:(

Calm down is the first thing. What PSU did you get? Sorry just noticed it in your post. Are you sure that you have inserted all the power leads including the CPU 12v?

I got a gigabyte sperb series psu, tried just booting the system with mobo, cpu, cooler, ram and display card....... same old situation.......... no movement after bios post screen and the keyboard is killed......... i cant even enter bios setup........... yes the atx and cpu power is connected along with power and restart jumpers of the case

Seems like a decent PSU and should last you for a while without having to worry. Right well the only way we are going to get to the bottom of this is top go right back to basics.I think the best thing is to remove the motherboard from the case and then connect it up on the desktop (on some cardboard or similar). All you want to start with is the PSU, motherboard, CPU/heatsink/fan and the buzzer. When you have done that try and POST. Obviously it won't complete but it should give some beeps.

It is late now so I am going to bed but will be back in the morning to continue.

Or maybe that cheap fan controller on the case killed it.

Who knows what its done but you did say the system was shocking with static electricity which I guess you mean you touch the case and you got a shock? If you'd of used the PSU that you got now it might of tripped an overload protection feature.

With an luck its just taken out the mobo...do you see any burn makes?

You can try clearing CMOS but it might not fix this...
