If you have onboard sound try enanbling that and see if that works..........It could be a software conflict?

I have onboard sound and it is enabled and works fine. Also I really don't think that my tuner card magically died or that the new card I just put in is bad as well. I am not sure what is going on, but I think it is fairly safe to assume that it is not the card. I gotta say this one has me stumped. I really don't even know where to start. I have never heard of a problem like this.

What is the model of the tuner card?

The one I replaced it with is a Vixs 210E. It is almost identical to the one I replaced except it doesn't have an FM tuner.(The one I replaced was a Vixs too) The reason I got another Vixs is before it died the other card worked really well for me.

Did it come with software? if it did, go into bios and disable onboard and save reboot, install the software and see how we go from there.

It is an OEM card, so there is no software. I have the driver though. I am confused though. Disable onboard what?

You could also look around online for any forums for that hardware and see if others had issues and how they got around them?

I have tried the drivers already in the past and again today and it's still a no go. I did a search and all I get is people complaining of the tuner not being found in Media Center. Mine is just not being found period. Before it stopped working Media Center had no trouble detecting it.

Ok I just put the GTS 250 back in and the tuner card was found immediately. It works fine and everything. I am fixing to put the GTX 460 back in and see if it goes offline again.

Edit: Ok I put the GTX 460 back in and yet again the card is not recognized.
