Nod32 is awesome! I have never had any problems with it.

Just remember to keep it updated though! (not a problem if it is automatic). My girlfriend managed to somehow get a horrible trojan on her hard drive recently with Nod32 installed. Having to reinstall windows (tried multiple removal programmes, removed stuff from the registry too but it keeps coming back - this seems the easiest way to get rid of it entirely!), and this stupid memory stick just doesn't want to boot!

  I tend to use a suite of apps, you don't have to have them all running on start hogging resources,  Personally I have Norton 360 running 24/7 on 4 home machines (Me,wife,kids) but I highly,Highly recommend  "Super Anti-Spyware Free Version".....it really picks up what all the rest miss consistently, Hope this helps!

Yeah SaS is also a good antimalware tool. Remeber to stop it starting on the Windows startup as it can slow things down a tad. Just means you have to run it manually (which i prefer tbh)

I downloaded SaS and ran it.  It picked up 4 minor issues and repaired them.  Nice software!
