http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php/topic,3326.0.html but it was 3 months ago and not quite the same. I just installed the G41M-Combo (not sure if GA41 is same) and it won't boot into Windows 7 (32 bit Home Premium) just a momentary BSOD that I can't catch. XP is installed on a separate HDD in dual boot configuration and loads without problems.
CPU Intel Core 2 DUO E8400 3.00 GHz
2x Corsair CM2X2048 - 8500C5D 1066MHz 5-5-5-15 2.1Volts (
bios set 5-5-5-18 1.8 V so I am thinking the problem might be here)
Gigabyte 9600 GT VGA Card
1x500 Gb HDD (preinstalled)
1x 1Tb HDD (preinstalled)
BIOS set to Optimized
As I say I suspect it is the BIOS settings for the RAM but I am not sure of the consequences if I simply change those two values or if I need to change something else. I used Memtest 86+ from a USB Boot to test the memory and it passed all tests.
