GA-Z68X-UD3P-B3 (BIOS version)
« on: July 09, 2011, 12:33:18 am »
I'm in the middle of a project building 25 systems using the GA-Z68X-UD3P-B3.

All of my boards have the F3 BIOS version.   So far, everything seems to be working fine.  Is there any compelling reason why I should flash update the BIOS to the most current version?   Are there any know problems with the F3 version that would make it advisable to update, or am I okay to just leave the BIOS alone?   I am not doing any OCing, they are just being configured in their default state, and left that way.   I am a little bit worried that the process of updating the BIOS might by itself cause more problems than I would be solving unless there is a good reason to do so.

Thanks.

TDS ... Welcome to the Gigabyte Forum

F5 has been out of BETA since the 23rd of the sixth 2011...........It's always worth a Bios update if they have proven to be stable..........small tweaks and additional latest hardware support generally mean trouble free operations..........including these I pulled off the official Giga website

      Support GIGABYTE TouchBIOS
    Support Intel Smart Response
(Note: Please install the latest IRST version: 10.5.0.1027 or above)

My suggestion would be, ... as this is an on going project........Flash one station and test while completing the other units, if you are happy, flash and update the rest prior to commissioning..........it never hurts having the very latest current bios and drivers.

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

Although under normal circumstances I would advise not flashing the BIOS unless you had a problem that you knew would be solved by a BIOS update, I think in this case it would probably be prudent as there have been a few minor issues, mainly with things that won't bother you anyway, but it might save a bit of heartache in the future. If you are unsure do as Allan suggested.

Try TweakTown Forums in the US as they have a good archive of all Gigabyte BIOSes.
