I don't really understand why you are returning the motherboard as yours only requires some configuration I expect. Have you followed my initial advice about clearing the CMOS and if so how has that affected the system ?

After checking out your videos and looking at all the other information that you have forwarded it is clear that the motherboard is definitely faulty and needs replacing.

Feel free to show the retailer this thread if he still maintains that there is no problem. The board is not supposed to behave like this.

Good luck.

Seems like those two comments were written by two completely different persons. Or the time stamps of the forums are messy.Anyways this is odd!

X58AUD3Rrev2 The reason it doesn't make sense to you is that it was for two different people. If you notice they were actually addressed one to you and one to Univac. You confused things when you hijacked Univac's thread. I was originally advising him but then you jumped in and I was talking to both of you. In future I would suggest starting your own thread to keep things simple.

Off topic:

Hey, I did try to change the Subject of the thread, see the BISO has to be BIOS, so I only changed the BISO to BIOS, currently Im still able to EDITE this field. What I got as an end result was this strange new username, then I try to swap it back editing my profile but it did not work, the system throw this exception: "The selected username has already been taken. "
I didn't mean to change anything - I just wanted to fix the misspelled subject.
 So sorry for the inconvenience.

Sorry Dark, I have to disappoint you - I'm the same person, that started the thread, it seems that the forums have locked the Univac username somehow.  :o

:) Yea,
I dropped the Mobo for RMA yesterday, still no call from the service... I will keep you in touch...
Hope so that this time they won't check out my mobo with a "TEST-OK" conclusion.

 Have a nice day.  ;)

Hey m8s,
It is me again :) Hope so that my post this time won't appear as posted by x58aud3Rev2 :)
Today I have got a call form the service, they asked me to speak in private with me and told me the the mobo was not for replacement. They think that the HDD might be the problem. Tho this disk has no special EFI BIOS injection procedures or something... They think that formatting the drive will help. I know it sounds a bit weird - the whole POST to freeze and crash, due to a DISK error. And the freeze is so deep that you can not even enter BIOS unless you reset the CMOS and load the system defaults witch will actually set INTEL's SATA controllers to work in IDE mode and not AHCI.

There is one way to check that without actuially buying another disk and that is to disconnectr the drive and then load a Linux Live OS from CD. If that runs ok and has no problems then it might be worth replacing the drive. ;)
