Greetings,

Thanks for adding your system parameters. I can now better visualise your system.

Can you expand as two how your system when from "it is running fine.." in your second last post to the boot and shutdown anomalies you posted in your last post. Did you make any change to your system configuration or the BIOS or windows settings?

Have you disabled RAID and selected IDE as interface? Does your Seagate hardrive need a firmware update?

Have you disabled all power savings and sleep options in both BIOS and Windows?

Are you still running with onboard graphics or are you using your PCIe video Card?

Remember that your posts are our insights into your system. In future posts try to be as specific as possible. For Example: I have not made any changes to my hardware config or BIOS settings but I now have new problems. My computer now .... or I changed BIOS setting X and Y... and Connected my video card...and..

In summary many things could be causing the new sympthoms you described. We need to assert your config and settings first before being able to take pertinent corrective action(s). Take a few moment to answer above questions.

Meanwhile, double check your speaker connection on the motherboard, confirm both proper insertion and polarity.

In view of some of your little problems there I think it would be worth doing the following :

The next thing to try is to clear the CMOS.

Remove the power cable from the mains supply and then press the power switch on the case for a few seconds just to drain any residual energy in the PSU capacitors.

Once done remove the motherboard battery for at least one hour before replacing it.

Next plug back into the mains supply and boot.

You will now need to enter the BIOS by pressing DEL and load Optimised BIOS Defaults.

Make any other changes to the BIOS settings to suit your self like disabling the floppy drive, disabling the full screen logo and making the HDD the primary boot device and then press F10 to save and exit.

No I am afraid not. Trying it that way is very hit and miss and can't be relied upon. The method I explained is the only sure way to clear the CMOS. In really bad cases sometimes we leave it all night!

Hi sorry for the delay but I have other things to do as well. ;)

Try disabling all the power saving modes in the BIOS. Remove Touch BIOS completely along with any other Gigabyte software that you have installed. Then clear the CMOS again.
