Bus Speed won't change in OS

Bus Speed won't change in OS
« on: February 19, 2012, 08:04:47 pm »
I change my bus speed in my BIOS, and the changes show on post screen. But once I get into OS bus speeds go back to stock... o.O  See pics for bios settings and OS display.

When I first got the board I had no problems changing the bus speed.. now I am unable to.

Hi and welcome.

I would suggest updating the Main BIOS to the laterst version F7a and see if that make a difference. After the update load the Optimised BIOS Default settings and make any other changes to suit. If it all works alright you can synchronise the Backup BIOS with the Main BIOS later.

Updated to F7a Seems to be working now, more stable too at a glance.. BIOS files must have become corrupt some how.

Thanks!

Excellent! I hoped that would do the trick but you can never be sure. ;)

Once you have made sure that everything is working correctly you can synchronise the two BIOS chips so that if anything happens to the Main BIOS you have an up to date backup.
