Is this a new build?   Have you tried clearing the CMOS yet?   If not do that for a minute and see if it helps.

If it does not then try an extended CMOS clear.   Remove the PSU connection from the board, then press and hold the power on button for one minute, then remove the CMOS battery, then put a jumper on the clear CMOS pins and let it sit like that for 8+ hours.   Then remove the jumper, put the battery back, and connect the PSU and try again.

Also, be sure you are connecting the 24 pin power cable, and the 4 or 8 pin CPU power cable. Just in case, you never know! :D

Also, did you ever try it with one memory stick, and no graphics card?  If not try that before the extended clear CMOS

If none of this helps, you'll need to remove the board from the case and OFF the motherboard tray if it's on one. Then try to start it on a wooden table or cardboard box, if it starts there then you have a short somewhere in your case (Often there is one or more motherboard standoff's mounted that are not used, causing a short).   So if this is the case, be sure to verify that you only have motherboard standoffs installed where there are actual holes in the motherboard PCB.

If that fails, you'll need to remove your CPU and check for bent CPU socket pins :(

Hi

The most likely thing is that you have a short to the chassis somewhere, usually on the motherboard standoffs.

The next thing is to remove the motherboard from the case and test it on the workbench.

Make sure that you observe anti-static precautions.

Lay some cardboard or use the motherboard box that is non-conductive on the worktop and remove the motherboard/CPU/heatsink/fan/buzzer/one stick of memory/graphics card and PSU from the case and put it on the cardboard. Add the keyboard and mouse and try and boot. The system should try and make a beep or series of beeps. Please post what sounds it makes.

I apologize for taking this long to respond. However, i have some good news and some bad news.

I actually did forget to plug in the the 12V cord on the mobo to the left of the cpu. (Speaking of wrong connections i probably did do the sata cables wrong too, would that be a major problem?) After plugging it in.... it did straight up for a second longer :( but everything turned off..

So i did try starting it up again but i toke out the ram. It started up for a second. Then it powered on again, stayed on for about 20 seconds, and it beeped 18 times.

However, i did try and remove the GPU and ram and it didnt beep at all.

Any ideas or help ? thanks again guys

You have to have memory in the board for it to run, so install some memory and then test again! :D

I did put the RAM in (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231416) and nothing at all happens. D: press power -> every fan goes off -> everything shuts down.

thanks for the help again ! i really appericate you taking time to help out a little newbie.

Did you try clearing CMOS yet?   If not try that.

If that does not help you'll need to remove the board from the case and test as mentioned above.

No problem, I'm happy to try and help you figure this out!   Sounds like it might be a short somewhere, so please try testing out of the case and off the motherboard tray next.   Often you might miss an extra motherboard standoff under the board, this would cause a short, so be sure when you put it back in that there's no extra standoffs, only ones in the exact places where there is holes on the board.

If it does not start outside of the case and off the motherboard tray, then you may need to remove the CPU and check that there are no bent CPU socket pins.

OK, it's easy, don't be scared of it! :D

Do this, first unplug your PSU from the wall or board, then press and hold the case power on button for one minute.  Then remove the CMOS battery, then short the Clear CMOS pins witha  jumper or scissors, anything metal that touches both pins.   Hold that short for one minute.   Then remove the short, put the battery back in and connect your PSU, then see if the board will start.

If it doesn't, then you'll need to get it out of the case and off the motherboard tray if there is one, then put it on a wooden table or cardboard box and see if you can start it from there.

Toke out the mobo, (tried to start it up on the carboard box it came in) and nothing happens now. Doesnt even start power on for a second. no beeps at all. so does this mean mobo = doa ?

Please show us several images of the CPU socket, taken in a well lit room from a few angles, with no flash and Macro mode enabled.

Also, can you test that PSU on another system to be sure it works correctly?  Also test this board without your 570 graphics card, in case the card is faulty.

And please double check all your power connections with the hardware. It is more often than not a PSU or power connection problem.

IT WAS A @#%$ DEAD RAM STICK. One of the ram sticks was dead. now the pc is booting up with 1 ram slot which is fine for now.
However,i did run into another problem. The pc wont connect to the internet, and i think its due to the driver. And im pretty sure i need to just get a big flash drive and get all the drivers.

Also, when i was installing windows 7 i installed it into my SSD, but when i go to my computer it doesnt show up there. However when i go into device manger i can see it there.

and i would like to thank everyone who toke their time to try and help out this little niblet :D <3

Regarding the memory don't forget that both sticks need to be RMAed together as they are a matching pair. These modules should always be kept together even when being sent back for repair or replacement.
