I have an issue with the WAKE ON LAN feature of the device - Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit
WOL is configured within the BIOS and also within the OS. It will wake from sleep with either the mouse or keyboard but not from the LAN.
If I load LINUX onto the system and use the utility 'ETHTOOL' then it reports that WOL is 'disabled', if I then use the utility to enable it and then re-boot into Windows then it will work in Windows correctly until the system is re-booted (From WIndows).
If I then check again using Linux & ETHTOOL, it shows as 'disabled'.
It would appear as if the Windows drivers are not correctly configuring the NIC? I have tried the drivers that came with the MB.
I have also downloaded the latest version as available from the Gigabyte website, I have also tried the latest driver version from the nVidia chipset site, I have also tried the current 'Microsoft' drivers for this. They all exhibit the same problem i.e. on a windows reboot they 'disable' wake on LAN and none of the available settings will re-enable it - Booting the system into linux and using 'ETHTOOL' indicates that the feature has been disabled again on the NIC card - updating with 'ETHTOOL' will allow it to work until Windows is restarted.
Has anyone else seen any similar problems?
Andy.
