@BIOS

I notice a reluctance for the use of the @bios program to update the bios of some boards however in the bios download for a particular board its stated to use the new @bios program.
If gigagyte state use this method is there an alternative if there is a seemingly reluctance here to do so?

hi there,

usually we recommend using the QFlash utility to update BIOS as there is less risk from using it. However, there are occasional instances where you have to use @BIOS usually if the new BIOS file is larger than the existing motherboard version, for example.

If you haven't done so you might like to check out the FAQ on BIOS updating here: http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php/topic,2441.0.html

hope this helps but if it doesn't then post back and we'll try to clarify things further.
