If you ve already tested the barebone set-up on a wooden surface just RMA.

I agree Vezina but I don't think he has actually done this. If I am correct then it is something that needs checking.

You are right ,he should eliminate all possible scenarios.

Si-h i have forgot to ask you one thing ,what CPU cooler are you using ?!Sometimes huge CPU coolers can create CPU socket issues.

Over & Out !

AMD FX (APU-s included) users should install - KB2645594 & KB2646060 under Windows 7

Cooler is the standard stock AMD cooler.
Will try the motherboard out tomorrow, working tonight.

RMA process ? is this simple ? Do they fix or replace?

It depends on what the problem is. Normally if it is repairable that is what will be done.

The RMA process is simple enough and is just a case of requesting your retailer to have the board repaired/replaced. They normally then send it to Gigabyte  and will return it to you when fixed.

On my previous builds, a 00 code means it has passed the BIOS check successfully.  Do you see a long set of numbers before 00 comes up?

Have you tried removing the video card and resetting it?

When it turns on can you hear the hard drive drive clicking like it's booting up?  If an SSD can you see the HDD LED flashing?

I do agree to bench test this thing.  A clean wooden surface or plain brown cardboard.  DO NOT use the anyi-static bag as it is conductive on the outside.  only the inside in anti-static.

Unfortunately, the 00 code is there from the moment the the power switch is hit. No other numbers, no bios check or HDD sound of booting up.
Removed and reset graphics card also.
Motherboard bench test is last thing to be done, but as working nights, must find time tomorrow. Cheers guys, will give you feedback. Simon.
