New mobo won't start
« on: January 24, 2013, 09:35:40 am »
I recently got GA 970A UD3.
I also put Scythe Ninja 3 on 960T. After a couple of days psu refuse to start. When I press the case's start button, the psu's orange led gets green only instantly(Heres a vid-->  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NH29mtSdRsM).
Restart works. But if I shut down pc, the only way to start system is to swich off psu for some seconds, then switch on.
I think psu is ok, because I connected it to another system and worked normally.

Do u have any ideas to solve this issue ???

Ok, problem was solved. This mobo needs a 500W psu or higher... It is written in manual.

But when I asked you, boys

I heard that this mobo requires a 500W psu, is it true?
Mine is only 450W.
you told me
A good 450W power supply is ok ,but it really depends on the CPU and video card used.Power consumption of the board itself is small.
then
So it was wrong what I saw in Newegg, its not necessary by deafult  a 500W psu for this mobo.
the PSU should work

So now I have either to buy another mobo or pay a fortune for a new fanless psu 500W+....  :(

So then how the Hell a MSI 790X mobo , similar to the UD3 , with a sound card ,an overclocked  X3 720BE , 2 HDD-s ,2 DVD-RW and an ATI 4850 worked just fine with a Corsair 400CX mate.

Stop invoking me for the things you are not doing ,i finally understand why you have such economical  issues in your country ,always someone else is in guilt of what happens to you.

Get a real power supply with proper 12V rails.

Are you mad or something?... This mobo needs by default a 500 or higher psu no matter what devices you connect.
You should apologize, but you attack me instead!!You are lame >:(
Just read the ducking manual
To meet expansion requirements, it is recommended that a power supply that can withstand high power  consumption be used (500W or higher). If a power supply is used that does not provide the required power, the result can lead to an unstable or unbootable system.
PS. Romania is a poor country compare to Greece.
I do not want you to reply my posts and never asked it.

So why have you quoted me incompletely from previous threads you ve spamed across the forum.
You already made 3-4 on the same matter and i ve already told you in those threads what power supply you should buy.
Unfortunately you do not understand how a wattage is calculated.

It really depends on what you think regarding the poorness.
If you think about the payment per hour month or whatever yes ,we may be poor ,but if you visit for real the country ,you document yourself about the amounts of gold ,oil ,minerals and mineral waters we have in our mountains and soil you will see it differently .And opposed to you we still own a part of our country ,we are not in debt as you are.

But this is not the place to discuss this and i apologize for my previous post ,it s not worth it.

Nevertheless i wish you luck with the build.

Your flame bait worked so you should be happy.

I will take a 2-3 months forums pause ,not to much satisfaction in helping some users here .it s like talking to walls.

So you insist... You are not man enough to admit your mistake  ::)

Once more, this mobo needs by default a 500W psu or higher to work properly. No mater what is the rest of devices. With any card or any cpu you connect, mobo still wants a 500 or higher psu. Why dont u just read the manual instead of accuse me that "I do not understand how a wattage is calculated"?

I never spam or flame.
Poorness and financial issues are offtopic. I dont think you have clear view of these. Just try not to be racist.
All countries have depts. Greece has a small one compare with that of Italy, Spain or USA.
