Z77X-UP5 TH + i7 2600K Cold boot issue

Hi peeps just wanted to let GB know that 7 months have passed with UP5 TH & 2600K and still no Cold boot fix.
Im sure you guys are well aware of this issue.  Will it ever be fixed for good???

I've got this board with the i5-2500k and not encountered cold BOOT issues, what BIOS are you running?

F13a happens on F11 aswell.  I believe its the 2600K which is affected with this issue ive googled and found other 2600K users in the same boat.  I even sent my CPU back to intel and they sent me a new one with same issue.  Everything runs rock solid when it boots no probs.  Its just when I start the machine doesn't allways happen but when it does its a pain in the butt.

Have you left voltages at default or have you tried tweaking them at all?

im tweaked up to 4.8GHz 48X100 im using offset voltage +0.045v pll enabled 1.835v I did have ram on XMP im just trying with disabling XMP and manually setting up memory.  When I run any bench my cpu voltage will reach around 1.405v-1.42.  This cpu is much better than my old one it requires less volts for 4.8GHz.

Would it be better for me to get you some screen shots from bios?

I know it should run that Cpu but go and get i7-3770K Ivy Bridge. I had that Cpu on a EVGA Z77 board and it was giving all kinds of problem.

Put the Ivy bridge in and it was like all the bells & whistles came on.  Plus I don't how Gigabyte Z77 board is that when you running that Cpu you are only getting 2.0 on your video card.

That is how it is on the EVGA. That Cpu doesn't support 3.0 video cards.

I shoudnt have to buy another CPU especially when the mobo box and website clearly states it supports 2nd Gen.  Its just not fare.  If GB wants to send me a 3770K then so be it.

Yes I understand what you are saying and yes you should be able to use that Cpu too with no problems.

It is sounding more like board issues than a Cpu issues. But the sandy bridge Cpu doesn't support 3.0 cards.

Your card is only running at 2.0 with that Cpu. Plus I'm not saying getting a new Cpu will fix the problem.

What I'm saying is that with the Ivy Bridge Cpu. Your video card will now run at 3.0.

You have to look at everything. You are running a 3.0 card with a Cpu that doesn't support it

Is that giving you problems you have to look at everything. If you put in 2.0 card do you have the same problem.

If not than it is a problem with the card, Mb, and Cpu that don't like each other.
