GA-P55A-UD3 Raid problems win7 x64
« on: November 14, 2013, 08:14:42 am »
I am trying but for the life of me can't get this to work.  I am trying to install win7 pro x64 on this system, it has a GA-P55A-UD3 motherboard, and I want to run 2 western digital enterprise drives in raid 0 .  First i created the array in the marvell part of the BIOS, then tried to install windows, tried the preinstall drivers on gigabytes website, fail nothing, tried intel drivers just for the hell of it, also fail.  I then moved the drives to the intel controller, recreated the array, same problem.  when i select the drivers windows is saying "no new devices could be found.  make sure the driver files are correct and located on the driver installation media."
I'm not an idiot but I have absolutely no idea what is wrong.  I need this system running and am very disappointed by this board.
Can someone PLEASE help me?
Thanks

I just tried it on my X58 mother board. Yes I know it isn't the same board but I had to set it up the same way in the bios.

When the computer is booting does it show the drives in a Marvell Raid. On the Bios screen when you first boot?

When I tried it with a win 7 64bit with & without sp1 and both booted to the point where I could pick the drives.
