GA Z77X-D3H LAN Driver causing BSOD

Hi all. I have purchased a new MoBo as stated above with a i5-3570k CPU and 16 GB RAM. My problem is the MoBo LAN driver Qualcomm Atheros who is causing repeteadly BSOD a few hours after being connected to Internet, but only at high load rates (discharging big files, hosting a Server for playing Internet Games, running Emule, etc. The info from the BSOD screen points out to L1C62x64.sys driver. I have updated such driver and others from Gigabyte website, newer one being 2.1.0.21 version . No success. I gave back that MoBo to the dealer and got a new same one, but same problem. Please, any help will be appreciated. I am afraid I will have to change to another brand with similar specification.
Other data, Win7x64 Ultimate, GPU EVGA NVidia GTX-580, Internet connection optic fiber 50/10 MB d/u.

More info: MoBo Revisión number 1.2, BIOS Version FA, Internet connection via Ethernet cable (no WiFi adapter) to Router. Surfing the Internet seems to work fine, cannot stand heavy traffic or several connections.

It wouldnt hurt to try one of the latest modified bios versions that have firmware updates for the Atheros chips

Can be downloaded if if available for your specific mobo version

I have modded the bios with later versions also and have it running ok(can pm if you want)....I cant say it will fix your problem
as I have no were near the load on my own system you seem to have.

Thank you for your reply, cjapeterborough, but I don't dare to use those unofficial versions of BIOS, because:
- The post that applies to my Z77 MoBo in near 2 years old and is based on very old versions of the original BIOS, much earlier than mine.
- There are no mods applying to Atheros onboard Ethernet port, only to a PCIE Ethernet one.
- I cannot risk my right to a RMA by flashing my BIOS to a unofficial one. The MoBo is a retail brand new one.
- I believe that the solution should come, either from official support or kind users, using "official" tools .

Anyhow, I deeply appreciate your help.

By the way, I have seen that, today,  a new version of BIOS for my MoBo has been posted on the sticky thread heading this forum. The new version is F18i. I will give it a try.

(Note) Support Intel 7 series motherboards with Atheros LAN chip.

No, I didn't, just updated Atheros driver from Gigabyte website upto 2.1.0.21,.dated Nov. 26.

I will try both suggestions tonight, one after the other.

When I get a moment I will have a look at what the latest beta release has inside it re Qualcomm/Atheros changes.

BTW You have nothing to fear really flashing a beta or a modded bios for two reasons.

Firstly you have a recovery backup bios to reflash and two you can always reflash back to an earlier version anyway.

As long as you dont present a board for rma with anything other than an official release your good to go.(beta would be
questionable also I think)

Your solution in the end will probably lie in the bios orom versions.

Let us know if the latest beta solves your problem or not.

Two MB causing the same problem that would be very rare. I'm not going to step on any body helping here.

I just got done working a computer for somebody the other day. I had the almost the same kind of problem.

It wouldn't BSOD but it would freeze up. I could play on the computer all day but as soon as I went on the internet it would freeze.

I would start looking at the video card. Like I said I had the almost the same problem. This board had two land ports too.

The things I tried were new HDD, Memory, CPU, turning ea land port off and running one at time & video card. What fix it was the Video card.

Plus one other thing is this computer had two OS on it. The first was Vista and I upgraded to Win 7 and it did it on both OS.

Just checked and the internal modules in FBB and FA are they are both same for the LAN
so if the beta bios fixes your problem it wont be atheros firmware

Listed for FA and FBB as:

Latest available as of 6th Jan 2014 are

Orom QCM-Atheros PXe 2.0.6.6
Orom QCM-Atheros PXe 2.1.1.5

As suggested above you should look at testing with another graphics card or onboard if you can.
Do you have onboard chip graphics enable/disabled? Gen option set etc?

Thanks for your replys. I have tested the Intel Atheros LAN Optimizer and have had the same BSOD after 2 hours running Emule. If the new BIOS FBb (Edited) has the same LAN component as the FA version, it is no worth to try. So far I've been using my NVIDIA GTX-580, although I haven't (Edited: disconnected ) disabled the on board VCard. I will repeat the test using the onboard one and will report back. I am using latest official Nvidia driver for GTX580 and Gigabyte website driver for onboard VCard

Hi, for further info, here is the last Minidump report file after the last BSOD, above indicated.  I am not an expert, just I use WhoCrashed software to see that the responsible is the l1c62x64.sys driver

What I did was I search on the net and found some people having the same problem.

There was somebody else that had a problem with the onboard nic card. He just got PCI card and put it in.
