If you set it up EFI or UEFI it should boot really fast. My windows 8.1 will boot in about 15 to 18 sec from a cold boot.

instead what is the time boot of bios without uefi or efi to windows ?

My Intel machine takes about 35 sec and my AMD machine takes 45 sec. They are both running Windows 7. I don't worry about boot times.

All I care is the computers boot and they are running fine. The thing is when you first setup any windows it will boot fast.

Once you start adding software to you computer. That is when things start slowing down.

What I was saying is that you have to boot from the UEFI DVD to install the OS. No all you have is EFI and not UEFI.

That is why I said to look for a newer board that supports what you want UEFI. There is no bios update so you board looks like that.

EFI is a forum of UEFI, but UEFI is better. This is the only option you have "EFI CD/DVD Boot Option [Auto]"

So if you didn't change that option in the bios you board is already running EFI.
