I am using the GA-G41MT-ES2H as the mobo for an HTPC running at full 1080 resolution over my 42" Phillips.
I am currently working out all the bugs in an effort to get Boxee running as my primary home entertainment source. We're dropping Satelite/Cable.
I have noticed some sound issues using the HDMI cable. if you change to another source and come back, you will lose sound, and, if you start some programs you will get nasty sound/white noise until you change something on the tv.
I am suspicious that these issue are entirely due to my TV, so I am going to run the audio from onboard sound outputs instead of HDMI audio until I can put a dedicated sound card in.
How do I disable the sound over HDMI?
