I'm using my media pc to play HD films. I use the motherboard's hdmi output to connect the pc to my av receiver/tv. My Onkyo tx nr901 receiver does an ok job driving the speakers. I would like to change my set-up to be ablle to play the front speaker sound via a high quality DAC and a power amplifier. This might be possible if I can configure the optical port on the mob to output front left right lock audio. Is that possible?
