« on: August 31, 2015, 09:45:40 pm »
I have been trying to load windows Xp or repair it on my PC the bios reports the drive ok Linux reads the drive so does Bart Pe However if I try and load Xp the message says windows cannot find any drive.?
I have tried to download the ACHI driver from Gigabyte but the version the MB handbook defines does not show as a selection.so what ACHI & Sata driver should I load.
The manual says it should be Intel(R) ICH8R/ICHR9R/ICHR10R/DO/PCH SATA RAID CONTROLLER.
I do not want to raid I just want to load or repaid Windows Xp Pro using ACHI drive.
Help I am stuck

XP?  You must have a reason  ???

SATA Preinstall driver
(For AHCI (single disk) / RAID Mode (Raid Array)
Note: Press F6 when prompted during Windows setup to read from floppy or USB

If drive(s) connected to intel controller / Port
http://download.gigabyte.us/FileList/Driver/motherboard_driver_intel_sataraid_bootdisk_irst_64.exe

If drive(s) connected to Gigabyte controller / Port
http://download.gigabyte.us/FileList/Driver/motherboard_driver_gsata_bootdisk_64_5series.exe

Be sure to set controller operate mode correctly in BIOS before you proceed.
