z170-UD5 TH no signal to monitor (post sound is heard)
« on: February 06, 2016, 09:29:44 pm »
Hi
i ve built a brand new system with i7 the gigabyte z170 UD5 TH mobo and a pair of 2400 DDR4.

I was booting ok hearing the post beep sound and then entering bios.
After that, i inserted a (brand new) usb stick with windows so as to install them to my hdd. Both were recognized by bios. Until the installation couldnt continue saying no driver found. So i shut it off to find a solution with the installation. I did another two three restarts and everything went normal.

In my...last attempt i turn it on again, but monitor stays off although i hear the post beep!
The mobo displays "AE" and stays there. I see no signal on monitor and no bios.
It keeps doing it now ... no signal no sign of bios.

i reseatted CPU, left only one DDR4 module and unplugged all USB/SATA devices!

Any advice please?
 :-\

P.S I forgot to mention that i have connected the onboard HDMI via hdmi cable to EIZO DVI monitor using HDMI to DVI adapter... (which works fine between my android TV box and EIZO)

Have you tried using a different HDMI cable and/or going straight to an HDMI monitor?

They haven't got all the bugs with the MegaChips ironed out.

Integrated Graphics Processor+MegaChips MCDP2800 chip: 1.1 x HDMI port, supporting a maximum resolution of 4096x2160@60 Hz
 * Support for HDMI 2.0 version.
