Maybe one of these will help? Windows 10 like earlier versions allows you to uninstall an update, or restore to a previous point in time. If you are using the developer preview feature, I would stay away from Insider Preview Builds unless you are running on a non-production system or one you aren't counting on to work smoothly.
The OS should have everything the chip needs to run. You didn't say what troubleshooting steps you've taken? If it were me, I'd try to go back to what worked previously, and not throw something else on top of the problem. System File Checker for example.
