Hi,
Just looked at your other post. Your drive is
not on the QVL.
"My current NVME is an OEM Samsung ( found in tablets/laptops - pilfed from a spare work laptop) SAMSUNG MZVLV256HCHP-000L2 aka PM951"
If your hardware isn't on the QVL, it hasn't been tested or certified compatible. A OEM drive pulled from another device will be hit or miss.
"I checked the QVL , my M.2 is actually on the list despite being an OEM product . I wonder if the BIOS update makes it unqualified ?
No, it doesn't. It wasn't on the list in the first place. If it worked at all with any BIOS rev you were lucky.
If thats the case , then GB should update the QVL with every BIOS update !"
They cannot test or certify hardware with every BIOS release. They also can't be expected to test against hardware "pulled" from another device.
