I've got old mobo Gigabyte in my home, its Gigabyte GA-K8NS rev 2.0, it used by my nephew to play some child games, never used anything except main os (windows xp x86) with game installed. There's no floppy disk, 2 GB ram, 1 SATA disk (Seagate) capacity 80 GB with one DVD rom. Last nigh when I want to copy some data into my usb stick, the electricity down, it's about 2 hours so I go outside for a while. When the electricity turn on, I've get back to my room but I was surprised that my nephew who dont know anything had turn on the pc, n the horrible things it boot from my usb stick that contain bootable flashing for other manufactured (I guess it's acer if I'm not wrong). The bad flashing caused my mobo dead, blank, but the power still on, the dvd rom still work but it had no display at all to the monitor. So I check the manual, download the bios file from gigabyte site, but I confused how to recover it cuz there's no floppy there. It's award bios, but when I see the flash utility it used ami bios, so how to recover the mobo? Used ami bios or award methode? Can the recovery flashing bios used another device such as usb stick or dvd rom? Any help will be apreciated.
