Hello everyone
I have exactly the same problem, so that's the reason I registered here. My computer configuration is as follows:
CPU: Intel® Core™ i5-760
MBO: Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3
RAM: 2 x Kingston 2GB HyperX DDR3 1600MHz
HDD: Seagate Barracuda ST31000528AS 1TB
VGA: Gigabyte GTX-460 768 MB
PSU: Gigabyte Superb Power 720 Watts
Display: Samsung P2050
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate
For the first three days everything worked without any problems and then suddenly the system froze while playing Crysis. After restart, the system froze again at the Windows 7 "welcome" screen. I tried everything, but the issue remained. I tested each component separately, until I found out that the graphics card is the problem, or to be more precise its drivers
When I erase all graphics drivers using Windows Safe Mode, the system boots up normally. If I try to install any drivers (I tried 5 different versions), the issue reappears. I tried with the drivers I got bundled with the card, but no luck. After researching a bit, I found out that there are many users with the same issue (other card producers as well), but that there is no quality solution to this problem
Just to clear things up, it's not a PSU/memory/processor issue, but graphics card/drivers problem. Many users have returned their cards because of this.
Any ideas?
