8gb ram speeds on EP45C-UD3R

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to get 8gb of DDR2-1066 to run at the rated speed instead of 800. Ram is OCZ Gold with timings 5-5-5-15 @ 2.1V. It's also with a Q6600. Any ways I can just even get close to the rated ram speed would be helpful. Cooling hasn't been an issue since the cpu has never gotten any hotter than 41C, idles between 24C and 28C depending on if I turn the fans back down after gaming lol.

What is the bios settings you have for your cpu 8x- 9x on the multiplier and what have you set thesystem mem multiplier to? for eg 2.66D....Also
You go into bios and you could try upping the MCH core up a notch also change your driving strength profile to 1066. Also Channel A ref and Channel B See if that is on auto change to 1066 (I think) LOL Don't have your board just taking a wee guess.
Post what your bios settings are so we can look and try help you better.

Increasing the tRFC value to 54 or higher may also help stabilize the system when running all four slots populated at rated speed.

Running F5f bios, MCH is set to 1.34V, CPU VCore is at 1.30V and everything else is at default, multiplier is at 9 and 266 FSB..driving and ref are set to 1066 as well

Have you actualy tested the memory properly? If not try Memtest86+ downloadeable from here:
http://www.memtest.org/
and run it on one module at a time for several loops. If there are any errors then your memory is faulty.

Ok I think MCH CORE at 1.34 is a little high, set it to 1.2...Also set performance enhance to standard..

Yes I have tested each stick in each slot for at least 2 hours per and no errors. That was the first thing as I've gotten faulty memory before. A couple other forums suggested changing different settings until I see the result I am looking for. I've tried to boot all 4 sticks with all the different a, b, c, d settings and either re-boots 3 times to default or crashes soon after loading windows. I don't want to up the voltages more than what's been suggested by the manufacter's since these parts weren't cheap when I got them and don't have to money to replace. I'm just hoping to get my money's worth. I mean I bought 1066 since the board specs said it would run, but it only shows it running 800. Also have Win7 X64 Ultimate. I've even tried setting everything to auto and clicking the 3.2 setting on Easy Tune with no results but re-boots to default. So would it be the board just not liking all 4 DDR2 slots filled with 2gb sticks that wasn't mentioned on the product page anywhere? lol forgot to mention tRFC is at 60

Ok run CPU-Z and show us a screeny of the memory tab and also one of the SPD tab... If 1.2 on the MCH fails put it back to 1.30~1.34 again. Might need to try some different settings on the CPU, like maybe a little overclock at a different multiplier to get it stable..

What happens if you run 2x2 modules instead of all 4 in dual channel? Is the machine stable? It just maybe possible that there is a compatability issue with all 4 slots populated. I have fallen into the OCZ and Gigabyte compatability issue trying to run 4 modules that set me back a pretty penny. They are now sitting in my dest totally useless to me now. Maybe you could ebay your ram and go with 2x4gig sticks of memory, that maybe your best option?

I can get it to run stable with CPU at 2.7GHz and memory at 450MHz, but past this and I get re-boots. These are older trial and error settings I wrote down so it doesn't take long to change them to working settings. I changed MCH to 1.2 and stable so far

I originally had a 2gb kit of G.Skill 1066 that showed as 1066, just kinda bothers me that there weren't any disclaimer's saying "You might not get what you pay for if you use all 4 dimm slots with this memory" type thing when I bought the board lol. It does everything I expect it to do besides the 1066 speeds. I guess if I get bored I will try with just 2 sticks and see what it wants to do.

I think with all four dimms loaded you won't be able to run at the rated speed of 1066, but you are running at 900 (450x2) and that is stable then seems pretty good to me and you won't notice any performance difference then 1066. Try trfc at 68. If still unstable we could try dropping your cpu mutli and change a few other things IE~ Overclock a bit more to see if that gets you more stable. I am running a Q9450 (2.66 ghz stock) overclocked to 3.2 ghz at a 400 FSB also 2x2 gig 1066 corsair dominator ram, now for me to run @ stock speed I get nothing but a dog of a machine, eg reboots bsod's and freezing, so with this slight OC I have a 24/7 perfectly stable machine, go figure
