GA-P55A-UD4 PROBLEM
« on: December 10, 2010, 09:21:56 pm »
My monitor can't detect any signal, my GPU is running but the fan turns fast.

- Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD4
- nVidea GTX 460 inno3d
- Patriot 3 x 2GB 1600Mhz
- Intel® Core™ i5-650
- Corsair 750W
- Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

I tried everything:

I use my GPU on my other computer and it works fine. (no problem with GPU)
I use ATI GPU on my Mobo and it works. (no problem with Mobo)

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

Can you answer a couple of questions first please?

What revision is your motherboard?

What BIOS version are you currently using?

Is this a new build or one that has been running for a while?

Well there is F15 available but it doesn't mention anything about graphics update but then again it often doesn't tell what it does.

You didn't say whether it was a new build or not?

Which slot have you got the GPU installed in?

What colour sockets have you got the memory in?

Still the same, I hear 1 long and 2 short beep with SLI but If I use CrossFire It works fine.

You didn't mention that you were runing more than one GPU.
Have you got the cards connected up with a bridge?

You just  said there that you are using more than one card at a time?
You can't use a single card in SLI or Crossfire modes. ???

I only use 1, If I use my nVidea my monitor wont detect my gpu, but If I change my GPU to ATI it works fine. So I dont get the problm why my nvideo doesnt work.

I still don't understand where the SLI or Crossfire comes in but I follow the rest of it and are you using the correct output on the back of the GPU?

Which output are you using?

OK that was my next question actually ;) So you have got all the power plugs in.

Back to my other question what output are you using? How have you connected the monitor?
