Gigabyte p67a-ud4 B3 shut down problem

Hello guys I am new here.

I have a problem with my new PC.

It don't wan to turn off completely. It turns off graphic card and HDD but all fans (case fans, cpu fan and psu fan) are working and spinning.
I tried to wait for a 5 minutes, that maybe the fans will stop but nothing.
I upgraded my bios to F4 and still the problem persist.

My configuration is :
 GA-P67A-UD4-B3  rev 1.1
 Intel- i5-2500K
 Seagate 1TB Seral ATA III 7200ot. 32MB, 7200.12
 DDRAM3 2X2 GB Patriot Viper II sector 5 1600MHz CL8 non-ecc 
 Sapphire Radeon HD5850 2GB GDDR5, Vapor cooling
DVDRW/RAM SATA  Lite-On iHAS124
 Fractal Design Define R3
 Corsair CX 600W V2
 AC Freezer 13  as CPU cooler

Could you help me please ?

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

Firstly are you overclocking anything at all ?

If not try doing an extended clear of the CMOS to start with. Follow these instructions exactly.


Remove the power cable from the mains supply and then press the power switch on the case for a few seconds just to drain any residual energy in the PSU capacitors.

Once done remove the motherboard battery for at least one hour before replacing it.
 
Next plug back into the mains supply and boot.
 
You will now need to enter the BIOS by pressing DEL and load Optimised BIOS Defaults.

Make any other changes to the BIOS settings to suit your self like disabling the floppy drive, disabling the full screen logo and making the HDD the primary boot device and then press F10 to save and exit.

Hello and thank you for your help.

I figured it out. The PSU Corsair is doing problems.

With my PC case I got Fan controller for 3 fans. And this fan controller is powered by molex cable.

This morning I tried to shut down the pc without this fan controller connected.  And I was able to shut down as it should.

After I connected the fan controller back, the probelm returned and All fans were spinning.

SO I am going to RMA the PSU.

Btw I want to ask you one question. Just to be sure.  It is normal for a new PSU after the PC shutdown properly, the PSU is buzzing or I can say it sounds like screaming for some minutes. Is this normal ?

Hi

No it shouldn't sound like that at all so I expect that you are right  but of course it could be a faulty fan controller that is causing the problem. Corsair have an excellent RMA procedure though.
