GA-MA770T-UD3P and SLI

GA-MA770T-UD3P and SLI
« on: June 21, 2011, 05:33:24 am »
I need some input as I am having trouble finding the answer to my question. My MOBO is the GA-MA770T-UD3P rev 1.1 F11C bios ver, AMD Phenom II X4 965. Running Win7 64 , 4gb ram with a 700w psu and currently a Zotac 9800gt 1gb gpu. I'm wanting to put in a second gpu via SLI and I'm unable to find out if my MOBO is capable running SLI. Thank you for any help.

With only one blue PCI-E slot.... you may have issues trying to force two cards in the one slot......what times is it ?....time for another MoBo!

Hi there,

As Allan has stated with your current motherboard the answer is no.
If you really want to run an SLI set-up on an AMD system (what's wrong with crossfire?) Then you will have a few problems ahead unless you invest in one of the new 9 series motherboards that have SLI support. On other AMD motherboards (series 7 & 8) SLI is not officially supported although it is possible to get it to work with a bit of perseverance and a lot of tweaking of drivers etc.
Remember, when all else fails a cup of tea and a good swear will often help! It won't solve the problem but it will make you feel better.

I'm a tard fellas and apologize for this question. 1 slot, 2 cards is not going to work very well at all. I however decided and went with an EVGA GTX 550 Ti to replace the 9800 GT I had. Thanks for the feed back anyway guys despite my question.   :P
