i spent the hold day and part of today reading and looking .
all i have managed to figure out is that i have a conflict with the ssd and something else .

i have also figured out that if i leave my computer turned off for to long all i need to do to stop it from blue screening is .
1 turn my pc on .
2 turn it off as soon as it turns the screen on ,  dont let it load any windows files .
3 turn my pc on and it boots without blue screen .

i used to have to do this with my 6 gig of memory until i updated the bios ,
i used to get 4 gig showup and if i did a reboot all my memory would showup .

thanks

i do have a keyboard and a old mouse .
i can make a video of it booting if you want .
but its just like i said it is .

i get to my desktop for 3 to 10 seconds or so and it blue-screen .
if i just let it reboot it will keep blue-screening and bye doing so starts loosing files .

but if i turn it on then off before it boots anything ! its fine again until its left OFF for 2 to 3 hours then it will blue-screen if turned on again .

thanks

What in fact you are describing is the procedure to kick in the back-up BIOS....... Which possibly suggests you have a fault with the Main bios (corrupt) or there is possibly a hardware fault with the BIOS chip itself.

But to go back a step.....are you saying you have already tried the old keyboard and mouse with no change to the problem?

Well it certainly wouldn't be the first time a dodgy keyboard caused a load of grief. Often too it is one of the last things that you think of.

its fixed .  :D
its my on-board usb ports .
all the combo usb ports dont make BSoD ! .

i added the extra ports to the ports that are on the mobo and attached the new ports under where my graphic card is .
i put my keyboard and mouse in there and no problems after 2 cold restarts .

i have tested this also bye booting up left it all morning testing every part and every thing's ok .

i just got a normal usb keyboard and plugged it into the offending port and before i could lookup and my screen it had blue-screened the same error i have been getting all along .

so i thankyou all for your help and advise .
im glad you never giveup on me lol .

thanks again  ;D
i will be back later to let you know ether way whats happening .

today's a good-day .

ok i formatted moved the ssd to 6gb port on marvell .
reinstalled 64bit win7 onto the ssd .

installed my 2 hd backup .
added all my usb stuff in the other ports .

installed all upto date drivers  and updated windows fully .

and its still working .

if i use the other usb ports it crashes still .
are they no good ? or is it the conflict thats doing it ? dont forget this only happens when the ssd is  connected still .

thanks allen & DM !!

I would say that as it only happens when the SSD is connected it must be because of a compatibility problem between them. Have you mad esure that the drive has the latest firmware installed and the motherboard has the latest BIOS version ?

I don't want to spoil things but you are probably looking for a problem by installing the SSD on the Marvell port. These Marvell 9128 controlled ports dont work properly and you will most likely find that it will drop your drive or f**k it up in some other way! They are not as fast as the Intel ICH10R controlled ports which are to SATA2 so the best port to connect your SSD to is SATA2_0. Make sure that you have it configured to AHCI as well.

i think you have a glass ball there DM  ::)
i started to load my black opps up and while updating it i lost my main hd and at the time it was my ssd .

so i moved every thing to the ICH10R side of the chipset .
allan did say to leave it there , but i thought he was just talking about testing .

the main thing is ,,,, my game is loaded lol .

its going to be after xmas before i can replace the mobo ,,,, and im think of going with the 1155 chip .
are there any good gigabyte boards coming out thats fast takes ssd and will take the 1155 chip and preferable take my memory .

the chip set is just faster than marvell at writing but nowhere near as fast at reading .
but thats ok as long as it runs .

thanks

the sd firmware is 2.15 and drive is 6.1.7600.16385

It's crystal, none of that cheap rubbish here! Glass ball indeed!

As for upgrading the board, there is the new Gigabyte Assassin 2 (G1.Assassin2) that will be released any day now. That will be fast  and have all of the added extras like the Bigfoot and Creative chips etc. all onboard as standard. This should make a big difference to games especially. Won't be cheap though. If that is too much money there is the G1.Sniper instead that is already on the market.

As for the Marvell ports I suspect that there is something not quite right if you are not getting better speeds from the Intel Southbridge controlled ports. Make sure that you have the best drivers for the Intel ICH10R chip. Are you running the IRST drivers ?
