Having read through the other posts I would have to say, as previously mentioned, that the problem is almost certainly your PSU.

The POST Beeps seem to show an error with the GPU but this could be indicating a lack of power rather than a "fault". It doesn't matter if you are using a CRT or LCD monitor, they do not draw power from the Graphics Card, they have their own power source so you can safely ignore that piece of advice. The problem is that, during the BOOT process, there probably isn't enough steady power flow to the GPU and a more powerful PSU will provide that.

The manual for your Motherboard recommends a PSU of at least 500 Watts so you are already underpowered according to Gigabyte. Also checking the specs for your choice of Graphics card the power requirement is a steady 86 watts. From these figures you are almost most certainly underpowered.

Hope this clarifies the issue a little bit further for you.
Remember, when all else fails a cup of tea and a good swear will often help! It won't solve the problem but it will make you feel better.

It did. I thought about it myself before watching your reply and you just encouraged me to buy a new PSU.
Anyway i'll report back in thursday i think with a new PSU and the end results.

hopefully it'll be my 2nd last post :D

I think we are all agreed that it is your PSU that's causing the problem. Go and kick your "expert's" @sse! That is after putting in the new power supply. ;D

Hey everyone I'm back :)
So far all good. computer not having a single problem yet. the PSU is also very quiet which I'm glad about :)

I'll update in 2 days when I'll have sufficient experience so I can tell exacly if that was the problem.

thanks everyone!

Sounds like that did the trick then. It is surprising how many fualts can be attributed to a dodgy or under- rated power supply. It is really one of the most important pieces of equiptment in the computer and as you have just stated it can make a difference to the noise levels as well.

Well first tell us what power supply you replaced it with? Was it single rail for the 12v?

Should be fine. I just checked to be on the safe side and the blurb says "Dedicated single +12V rail offers maximum compatibility with latest components" so no problem. It is the way the power is delivered by the power supply.

so... any other ideas?

EDIT: could dynamic energy saver 2.0 be causing this?

Maybe it's your monitor. No only joking ;D ;D ;D
I will have another read through the thread and post again. Right well I have just reviewed the posts and there is nothing that stands out that we've missed. Let's go through a few things
.
Power supply - check the connections for the 24 pin and 8 pin to the motherboard.

Check the power cables to the graphics card.

Memory is in the correct slots - 1 & 3.

CPU heatsink/fan connected to power and locked down tight on all four corners.

Check these and then come back.
