Yep its a fresh install of Windows 7 x64 sp1 Enterprise

Can go for days without a problem, then come back to the machine the next day and turn it on and no network adptor shows  in device manager.

You then have to shut down and pull the power on the machine, plug it back in and its all go to go for afew more days.

This is my second GA-X58A-UDR3 the first one never had the problem.

Yes, thats exactly that problem. When you used your first GA-X58A-UD3R what was the rest of the hardware and OS? Just to compare it precisely with your actual system and my system. I plan to test it with other OS, probably Ubuntu Linux, but I havent got engough time now...

My First board had an issuse with the memory slots and was returned as i could only use 4gb but the lan was fine.

When i was testing the first board i had the time to try windows xp x64 and 7 x86 but ive only been using 7 x64.

With this new board also had an issuse with GTX470 graphics but ive managed to fix that with a graphics card firmware update.

I've got nearly same problem. It happens only when I restart PC, but not always. 1 or 2 times per week. The problem solves like in your cases with power cord unplugged for minute or two. The little difference is that network interface is still present everywhere but it says that the network cable is unplugged. I'v tried different cable, different switch with no success. Until than it crosses my mind to unplug the power and wait for some time. The problem's gone away. Then it becomes clear to me that the problem is in MOBO. I'm tripple boot, Win7, XP Pro & Ubuntu 10.10. The problem is present on all of them. That shows me that the problem is not in operting system but in MOBO. My BIOS is F6 version. I've quoted HonzaK's post to tell him that's needles to try Ubuntu as workaround.

Sorry for my bad english, I'm from Bulgaria. Best regards.

Hi your English is fine, no problem.

There seems to be  a few people complaining of this specific problem at the moment but I must admit I can't see any rational explanation for it yet. It could be just a BIOS issue but from what I remember about other posts the LAN is sometimes loaded and then dropped later during use. I wonder if it is a hardware fault where something is set a bit to fine. :-\

In that case it could be a BIOS issue then. I take it you are running the latest version?

By the way what part of Bulgaria are you from ?

I'm from Sofia, the capital city, West Bulgaria :) .

I'm still waiting for stable version of F7. When I purchase my MOBO it comes with F4. At that time I had no problems. Later I've updated to F6 with still no problems. The problem appears soon, may be month or two.

Oh yes, Sofia. I used to live in Varna, northern Black Sea coast  near the Summer Palace. Lovely area.

It definitely sounds like a new BIOS will fix it. Hopefully not to long to wait. ;)

No I am from the UK but lived in BG for several years. I thoroughly enjoyed it but I must admit my Bulgarian is nowhere near as good as your English!

Outstanding

Радвам се, че тук има някой, който ще ме разбере и на моя език. Много ми е приятно да си говорим, но май прекалихме със спама ;D

Well it takes me a while to make sense of it but it takes me back a bit! It is a hard language to get your head around for us who use Latin based languages. Sorry in English my Bulgarian keyboard is in the attic!!
